Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades

Well, found out yesterday that I got into graduate school at my number 1 choice: Edinburgh Napier University. This can mean a few things.

1. I am on one big episode of punked and Ashton is gonna pop out any second (UK edition, of course).
2. They were doing a random lottery system.
3. Barack Obama is doing an excellent job with international relations.
4. Maybe they actually enjoyed my writing!

In any event, I am ecstatic and feel so blessed. Finally proof that hard work does pay off and sometimes I have to win every now and then. I realize this is only the begin in a possibly post-graduate over-load hell, but I am so grateful to even have this opportunity and to be in a program working towards the thing I always get in trouble for doing in my classes: Writing! Financial Fun-Ness pending..this could be a huge move...am I ready?

You said the problem is that when you splash around everybody else gets wet and you don’t need to be an oracle to see our future. There are far too many casualties in your friendly fire so bright that dimming is inevitable is it comfortable to fall from grace? Is there space for heavy hand stitched wings? reckless, wild and beautiful setting flames to the scenes around you- you burn, burn burn I never knew implosion could be so eloquent  If they ask what defines it? Loneliness. This is the constant of the human condition. You wanted to step out of the darkness but even you faded when you flew too close to the sun. Shhh…we’ll call it transformation.

I saw a man die today. He flew head first off of his bike and into a tree. His belongings were scattered all over the road like children's toys And although he wasn't young I cant help but wonder if he belonged to someone, if he was rushing back to a house where someone was excited to see him-eagerly awaiting his arrival. I did not know his name and I imagine no one else around me did either. I saw a man die today. I think he belonged to someone.
