No Place Like Home....Or Is There?

Back home for a few days...up to the old tricks.
Here I am back in the familiar routine.
My old friend: Monotony rears it's ugly, yet unimpressive head.
My days again will be spent sitting in from the mind-numbing box, watching bad TV shows
and semi entertaining Indie films.
I have no desire at the moment to get boldly trashed or find something better to do.
I guess I'm just welcoming in the break for a while.
Maybe that or things just aren't half as much fun without my old man around...boo..

You said the problem is that when you splash around everybody else gets wet and you don’t need to be an oracle to see our future. There are far too many casualties in your friendly fire so bright that dimming is inevitable is it comfortable to fall from grace? Is there space for heavy hand stitched wings? reckless, wild and beautiful setting flames to the scenes around you- you burn, burn burn I never knew implosion could be so eloquent  If they ask what defines it? Loneliness. This is the constant of the human condition. You wanted to step out of the darkness but even you faded when you flew too close to the sun. Shhh…we’ll call it transformation.

I saw a man die today. He flew head first off of his bike and into a tree. His belongings were scattered all over the road like children's toys And although he wasn't young I cant help but wonder if he belonged to someone, if he was rushing back to a house where someone was excited to see him-eagerly awaiting his arrival. I did not know his name and I imagine no one else around me did either. I saw a man die today. I think he belonged to someone.
