Today I fell apart.
I tried to collect myself and piece me back together
but I was too far gone.
The wind picked me up and carried me away from you as you prayed for better weather.

I remember the first time I heard Amy winehouse. I was on a college trip to London, sitting in the Hawley  Arms pub, downing pints of Guinness and popping coins into a juke box. There are far too many casualties in your friendly fire so bright that dimming is inevitable is it comfortable to fall from grace?
